My name is Caleb Colgan and I am an aspiring artist from Peoria Illinois. I have loved art from a young age, but was never able to truly pursue it as a career since I was never able to take formal art classes in high school which led to me not having an adequate portfolio when applying to colleges. However, I still went to college focusing on a major in political science with the goal of going to law school once I was done. My second year of college was when I finally realized that art was what I would like to do for the rest of my life since I finally had professors that encouraged me to follow my passion.

I have now been in multiple art shows in Illinois and Iowa showing off my oil paintings, watercolor studies and charcoal drawings and having sold multiple original pieces along with prints at these shows. Along with selling prints and originals of my work, I have done numerous commission pieces. In the future I plan to work on individual projects to sharpen my skills in animation and illustration to hopefully find my way into a career in one of those fields.
